Frequently Asked Questions

Previous exposure to the German language is not required for preschool students. Previous German is highly recommended for students enrolled in Kindergarten and required for students Grade 1 or higher.

For information about admission requirements and access to administration applications, please visit our Tuition and Enrollment page.

The SAGA School teaches a strong, well balanced curriculum for our students with the added layer and benefit of language immersion. In the elementary program, SAGA focuses on meeting the Washington State standards and Thüringen curriculum standards so that our students can be successful if they transition to a public or private school in the United States or if they transition back to a German program overseas.

For the current school year tuition rates, please view our Tuition & Enrollment page. For information about financial aid opportunities, please visit our Financial Aid page.

For the preschool program, our goal is a 9:1 student teacher ratio and for the PreK program our goal is a 10:1 student-teacher ratio. For elementary programs, depending on the grade, there are around 12 - 20 students per classroom, with the goal of a 15:1 student-teacher ratio.

The SAGA School offers camps for Spring Break, a series of Summer Camps and often a Mid-Winter Break in February. SAGA also offers a wide variety of enrichment programs for children of all ages, most in German.
