This year our 5th (Krakenklasse) graders had the opportunity to go on SAGA’s very first “Klassenfahrt” with their teachers Frau Klein and Herr Di Gennaro. They ventured to Warm Beach Camp in Stanwood, WA where they spent 3 fun-filled days. During the day, they engaged in activities such as climbing, canoeing, swimming, archery, and team-building games. One of the highlights of their experience was pioneer homesteading, where they had the chance to "milk cows" (water in gloves), start a fire without modern tools, make butter, and even craft a stool, which they affectionately named "stooley". After sundown, they enjoyed each other's company by the campfire, roasting hotdogs, and marshmallows. The entire experience brought them closer together, strengthened their friendships, and taught them the value of teamwork. They all had a fantastic time and would love to return someday. Maybe this could be the place for their Klassentreffen in 2044.
