We are excited to offer a Blockflöte/Recorder program at SAGA. This program provides music instruction for all ages and levels of expertise. The “music cat” will lead very young beginners into the world of music! We will learn the foundation of recorder playing and experience music with our entire bodies, listening, singing, and dancing. Rhythmic exercises and games will enrich the experience. 

As the attention span for young children is still very short, we offer twice-weekly classes for PreK and Kindergarten on Tuesdays and Thursdays. For more information, you may contact Sabine.Endrigkeit@sagaschool.org.

The more advanced classes (current students or students with previous experience on the recorder) will expand their knowledge of music reading and performing, learn how to cooperate in an ensemble, and eventually delve into more challenging musical literature.

PreK class is open for new students (SAGA/Non-Students). Kindergarten through 5th Grade (elementary) classes are for returning students only.

Do you like running? Come and join us for fun running activities. No previous running experience is required. Classes are on Wednesdays from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Rain or shine, bring a light rain jacket and your running shoes.

Chess Wizards offers challenging chess lessons, fun group activities, exciting tournaments, and more! If your child is brand-new to chess, we'll teach them the basics and get them playing right away. If they're a seasoned checkmate artist, they'll learn new ways to show their creativity on the chess board.

Let the stage become a playground! In our theater club, our students (1st through 5th grade) discover the world of acting. They experiment with different voices, gestures, and expressions and slip into a wide variety of roles. In doing so, they not only learn to strengthen their own personality but to express themselves clearly and confidently. Whether improvising on stage, in discussions with the group to optimize the play, or in their own small performances, the skills gained are of great benefit in everyday life. We’ll play, read, and discuss in German. A certain degree of student curiosity and ability to focus will help us grow together as a group and have fun.

In this course, children will improve their awareness of nature and learn about mammals, birds, plants, and survival in our ecosystem through exploration, play, and interacting with land and the elements. Social learning and team building will be integrative elements in all the sessions. Children and staff will walk down to Carkeek Park from the school. Pickup will be at the park.
