Do you like running? Come and join us for fun running activities. No previous running experience is required. Classes are on Wednesdays from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Rain or shine, bring a light rain jacket and your running shoes.

In this course, children will improve their awareness of nature and learn about mammals, birds, plants, and survival in our ecosystem through exploration, play, and interaction with land and the elements. Social learning and team building will be integrative elements in all the sessions. Children and staff will walk down to Carkeek Park from the school. Pickup will be at the park.

Chess Wizards is a premier chess education company providing fun, informative and challenging chess lessons to students in PreK-8th grade. Our program is made for children at every step of their chess journey – no matter the skill level – with classes that build upon each other, starting with the basics and moving toward more advanced lessons as your child progresses from one session to the next. Chess Wizards teaches children how to problem solve, think critically, win graciously, and accept defeat with dignity and sportsmanship. Students will be divided into groups according to their chess experience. At the end of this session, each student would have had the chance to participate in a mini-chess tournament.

For many years, SAGA has offered a robust Blockflöte/Recorder program providing high-quality music instruction for all ages and skill levels. In this program, our youngest beginners are introduced to the wonderful world of music alongside the "Music Cat." Together, students will learn the foundations of playing the recorder while experiencing music dynamically through their entire bodies—listening, singing, and dancing. Engaging rhythmic exercises and games will enrich their musical journey.

The more advanced classes (current students or students with previous experience on the recorder) will expand on their knowledge of music reading and performing, learning how to cooperate in an ensemble and eventually delving into more challenging musical literature. 

We are excited to introduce a brand-new beginner class specifically for 1st and 2nd-grade students. Designed for those with no prior experience, this class focuses on building a strong, joyful musical foundation from the very ground up.

UNTER WASSER, a musical by J. and S. Hilbert

Calling all who love to sing! Please join me on a musical excursion under water. We will work on and perform UNTER WASSER, a musical by J. and S. Hilbert, loosely following the beloved story of A house for hermit crab by Eric Carle.

(Children in Enrichment Recorder Classes do NOT need to enroll to participate. They will be integrated into the musical).

We will dive deep every Wednesday from 3-4pm, Sept. 10th, 2025 - through March 25th, with extra on-stage rehearsals January 16th at 1pm (Early Release Day) and Saturday March 21st 2pm.

We will perform for the parents and friends Sunday March 22nd, 2026 at 2pm.

This class is taught by Sabine Endrigkeit, an experienced music teacher.
