Thanks to Airlift NW and guide Paulo Gutscher (SAGA Parent) for an unforgettable, hands-on tour of his incredible work environment. Paulo shared what their helicopter is equipped with, aerodynamics and physics of helicopter flying. They learned about the emergencies Airlift NW responds to while flying for the University of Washington. Students then learned about first aid and real-life experiences from a team of nurses. After the excitement, the class wrapped up the day with a peaceful nature walk through Carkeek Park. What a day of learning, inspiration, and adventure!
